Who We Are ...

We are a husband and wife team that stumbled upon our passion for food. We love to cook for neighbors, friends, special events and fundraisers. Eons ago when we first met, I decided that I wanted to cook my wife a special dinner for her birthday. Long story short, it was a complete mess and was a terrible dish. Being the personality type I am, I absolutely hate being bad at things and was determined to get it right. I ended up buying a cookbook to sharpen up. Over the years, that one cookbook turned into hundreds. It was then I discovered that I had a passion for food. My passion lies both in the preparation of the most innovative, freshest food sourced as locally as possible, as well as the outcome of what that food brings. What do I mean by outcome? Food is the greatest, most versatile common ground known to man. It has the ability to bridge all divides. Whether we are cooking for neighbors, competition or for a private event we invest our passion into everything we do. When the food is good, the smiles are abundant. Conversation flows naturally, difference are forgotten and bread is broken. Smiles abound and people focus on what is genuinely important in life: the smiles and loves of the people around us.

What We Do ....

Catering: We can and do small catering projects in the area. Typically we specialize in BBQ, but if you have a specific need please reach out. Private Events: Our head pitmaster is also a private Chef. If you would like to discuss a private event please let us know. We would love to help!
Competitions: We do compete across the state in both Chili and BBQ and have had the honor of taking quite a few top 3 finishes to include several 1st place runs. Charitable Events: Food is about people and we believe in helping folks out when there is a need. If you have a fundraiser in mind for a charitable event, we would love to be a part of it.

Melissa is a UT graduate, a mother of two incredible boys and is the glue that makes this whole thing work. She has been an integral part of the vision and what we do for a few decades now.

Nick Peterson

Pit Master, Chef and Full-Time Tummler
Nick is the mastermind and the labor behind the team. After the Army Nick and Melissa met, got married and unknowingly (at the time) started this culinary adventure. What was once a hobby is now a business - the business of bringing people together.
